Foundation for Recovery is Nevada’s Statewide Recovery Community Organization (RCO) – a community nonprofit led by volunteers and staff in recovery from mental health and substance use disorders. Foundation for Recovery’s mission is to promote the positive impact of recovery from substance use and co-occurring disorders and enhancing the lives of individuals and families affected by the disease of addiction. Our programs and partnerships open pathways to recovery by removing social barriers and creating opportunities for those seeking and maintaining long-term recovery.
The new FFR facility is Sparks is a welcoming community center where anyone in any stage of recovery can go to spend time, get support, attend classes and figure out ways to find their own personal path to recovery. The drop-in center has fun activities, movies, a library and computer access to help individuals address issues with medical insurance or other basic needs. Mutual support groups are available as well as one-on-one peer recovery support services, in-person, over the phone and through tele-recovery.
